Ka Chanthavong Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ka Chanthavong Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was 75. Ka was born May 10, 1950, in Xayaburi, Laos, a beloved son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chom Chanthavong. From his earliest years, he was shaped by deep faith, ordained as a Buddhist monk, and dedicated three years of his youth to spiritual service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Inh; his daughters, Ban-Yehn (Hau) Hong and Vanthong (Bill) Sharninghouse; and his adored grandchildren, Jaylen Chanthavong, and Andy and Nataly Hong. He also leaves behind many extended families and friends.
Preceding him in death was a grandson, Aden Hong. May his memory be a blessing, his journey be peaceful.
Visitation for Ka will be Friday, January 30, 2026, from 1-3 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. A funeral service will be Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
