Joy Hoke Obituary
Joy Ann (Bollinger) Hoke, 91, of Tiffin, formerly of Fort Seneca, died at 7:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023.
Joy was born May 29, 1931, in Tiffin, to Harold C. and Ruth E. (Dewald) Bollinger. On October 11, 1951, she married Robert R. Hoke, and he died in March of 1987.
Survivors include two sons, Robert (Kathee) Hoke of New Jersey, and Danny (Sandra) Hoke of Kentucky; two daughters, Marsha (Matt) Dandar of Tiffin, and Connie Hoke of Findlay; five grandchildren, Ian (Katie) Hoke, Crystal (Mike) Vance, Laura Dandar, Danielle Dandar, Stephanie (Nick) Gabbard; two great-grandchildren, Maggie Hoke, Alexis Gabbard; and her beloved cat, Tattoo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a stillborn son, Jeffery L. Hoke.
Joy was a 1950 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and still got together with her classmates for lunch once a month until Covid. She graduated from Tiffin (Warner) Hair Academy in 1951. Joy last worked at Tiffin University. She was a homemaker, a member of Fort Seneca Community Church, YMCA, Moose, VFW, Humane Society, and AMVETS. Joy liked to swim, fish, play BINGO and read Harlequin paperbacks. She and her family spent summers at Catawba Island, Lake Erie for 47 years.
Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m., at the funeral home with Rev. LaMar Baker officiating. Burial will take place in Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort.
Memorials contributions may be made to Seneca County Humane Society.

What a sweet, sweet women and mom to others than her own. I always cherish the great memories of summers at Parman's Point on Catawba with Joy, Bob, Marsha, Danny, and Connie and young Bob a bit. We had such great times growing up in with many extended families. Marsh--it meant so much to me when you and Joy came to see me at my mom's time. I'm sorry I won't get to see you, but know I am there in memory.

In life you only get a couple of grand parents and Joy was one who loved being your grandparent. She loved all of you in her special way . I hope you will be able to remember her smile and her love. Very sorry for your loss. Lori Yuan
