Joseph M. Badgett

Joseph M. Badgett, 68, of Findlay and formerly of Russells Point, passed away Friday evening, Nov. 1, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.

Joseph was born Dec. 21, 1955, in Lake Hurst, New Jersey, the son of the late Kay Darnell Curaton and Bill Badgett, who survives in Findlay. He married Wendy Biddle on Jan. 2, 2002, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and she preceded him in death Sept. 3, 2021. He is also preceded in death by his former wife, Debra Haugh Smith; a brother, James Badgett; and stepson, Matthew Haugh.

Joe is survived by a daughter, Misty (William) Keller of Findlay; a son, Marshall (Di) Haugh of Columbus; three stepchildren, Joshua (Tabitha) Biddle of Pandora, Jeremy Biddle of Findlay and Brook Keller of Crestview, Florida; 12 grandchildren, Logan Haugh, Zachary Haugh, Billy Keller, Damien Keller, Kenzi Keller, Kilee Perkins, Jersey Biddle, Brayden Biddle, Alex Biddle, Rion Biddle, Bella Grine-Biddle and Jenna Holtgreven; four great-grandchildren, Alianna Haugh, Lilith Keller, Margaret Haugh and Royce Blosser; and three sisters, Janice Bormuth of McComb, Jacqulyn (Jim) Schnapp of Arlington and Cindy Wheeler of Nashville, Tennessee.

Joe was a long-time over-the-road truck driver and previously ran Dre Hunting Preserve. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, hunting, fishing, and watching "Old Western" movies. Above all, Joe's greatest love was his family and he enjoyed spending time with them.

Private graveside services will be at a later date at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Joe's memory to American Cancer.

Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview.
