John C. Thomas

John C. Thomas, 68, of Fostoria, passed away February 28, 2026, as a result of injuries from a motorcycle accident that occurred February 7, 2026, in Fort Myers, Florida. He was born July 8, 1957, in Columbus. His parents were Albert and Mary Thomas, but he thought highly of Mary's life companion, Ory. John married Sharon Nye, and they later divorced.

John is survived by his daughter, Dakota Thomas.

He is preceded in death by Albert and Mary Thomas; Mary's companion, Ory; and his dog, Sassy.

John was a graduate of Fostoria High School and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. John worked at Ex-Cello in Fostoria and later owned and operated Universal Cycles & Southside Sweepers, which had several locations. He was a member of American Legion and a lifetime member of H.O.G. John was a collector of many things, including die-cast cars and motorcycles. He loved to camp, especially at Knecht's Beach in Port Clinton. John loved the water and riding his motorcycle. He rode his bike to attend bike rallies in Sturgis and other states. In years past, he was known for hosting parties at his home, where many came to know his beloved dog, "Sassy".

Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home. Military honors will be performed at 2 p.m. by United Veterans of Fostoria, followed by a memorial service with Pastor Wyatt Foster officiating.

Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
