John Stoner Obituary

John F. Stoner

John F. Stoner Jr., 79, of Attica, passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, at Mercy Health â€" Willard Hospital.

John was born March 4, 1943, in Willard, to the late John Franklyn Sr. and Ruth Marcella (Cook) Stoner. He married Delores (Featheringill) on March 2, 1963, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and she survives in Attica.

Other survivors include a son, Troy (Angie) Stoner of Arcadia; daughters, Lisa Daniel of Attica and Kim (Sam Stansbery) Waggoner of Clyde; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Mike Daniel of Attica.

John was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Grant Aloysius Stoner.

John worked as a pressman at RR Donnelley Sons, Willard, for 44 years and was a member of Attica United Methodist Church. John was an Attica Volunteer Fireman for over 30 years and enjoyed automotive projects, his "Do it yourself home projects," and was a 1961 graduate of Attica High School.

There will be a memorial service 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at Attica United Methodist Church. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville. Burial will follow the services Thursday at Attica Venice Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Attica United Methodist Church or Attica Volunteer Fire Department. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.shookfamilyfh.com.
