John Schwab Obituary

John P. Schwab

LEIPSIC â€" John P. Schwab, 84, of Leipsic, passed away 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Meadows of Leipsic. He was born May 3, 1938 in Leipsic to the late Gregory J. and Irene (Weisbecker) Schwab.

Survivors include two sisters: Betty Gabringer of Centerville and Pat Meyer of Leipsic; 18 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Kuhlman; and a niece, Holly Meyer.

John worked for Allied Egry, Leipsic and retired after 50 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and formerly sang in the church choir. He was a lifelong loyal Leipsic Viking fan and enjoyed watching the Mud Hens and BGSU football and hockey teams.

Funeral mass will begin 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass on Monday at St. Mary's Parish Life Center, Leipsic.

Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic.
