John V. McClain

John V. McClain, 75, of Clyde and formerly of Findlay and Fremont, died at 5:50 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2025, at his residence. He was born July 26, 1950, in Findlay, to the late Donald V. and Muriel (Beach) McClain. He was previously married to Marcia Mills, with whom he had two children. He later married the love of his life, Marla (Campbell), June 27, 1998, and she survives.

John is also survived by his son, Doug (Cathy) McClain of Findlay; daughter, Julie (Tim) Miller of Adrian, Michigan; stepdaughters, Deneil (Carlos) Sanchez of Clyde and Peagan (Dave) Kohn of Clyde; brother, Steve (Linda) McClain of Wauseon; grandchildren, Ella (Greg) Harrison, Drew McClain, Libby Miller and Katie Miller; great-granddaughter, Gia Harrison; stepgrandchildren, Adriana Sanchez, Isaac Zuniga and Kash Kohn.

John was the former owner of Bud's Tavern, Gables Bar, and LTD Car Sales, all in Fremont. His working career started with Great Scot Grocery Store. He was a member of Port Clinton Yacht Club.

Private family services will be at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. A celebration of life will be after the first of the year in Fremont.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Lisa's Cat House in Port Clinton or Sandusky County Humane Society.
