John Doolittle Obituary

John Wayne Doolittle

John Wayne Doolittle, 59, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 6, 1963, in Findlay, to William Sr. and Rebecca (Walker) Doolittle.

John is survived by his mother, Rebecca; stepmother, Linda (Thomas) Doolittle; brothers, Jim (Shelly) Doolittle, Alan Smith, and Brad (Jamie) Doolittle; sisters, Marie Archer, Jennie (Lee) Newcomer, Cinda (Greg) Wolford, and Tonya (Billy) Lawson; and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Doolittle Sr.; and brother, William "Bill" Doolittle Jr.

John was a 1981 graduate of McComb High School. After school, John proudly served in U.S. Marine Corps from 1981-1984. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and was a fuel specialist. He worked for Cooper Tire for many years as a tire builder and servicer, retiring in 2020. He enjoyed archery and firearms, Harley Davidson motorcycles, bicycles, golf, and going to the movies. He was an avid collector throughout his life and always had a new hobby. Most of all, John enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, attending many of their sporting events, and playing pranks on everyone he knew.
