John Crane Obituary

John M. Crane

John M. Crane, 78, of Findlay, passed away at Blanchard Valley Hospital Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024. He was born July 29, 1946, in Hamilton, the son of the late Hubert and Nancy (Brooks) Crane Sr. On July 29, 2005, he married Becky Norwood, who preceded him in death June 25, 2013.

Survivors include his fiancé, Tina Lynn of Findlay; his son, James (Michelle) Shoemaker of Findlay; and daughters, Brenda (Norman) Hogan of Texas and Nancy Lewis of Indiana; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. His brothers, Cameron Crane of Hamilton, Hubert Crane Jr. of Ft. Myers, Florida and Joey Crane of Eaton; and a sister, Andrea Crane, of Cincinnati.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; brothers, Roger and Warren Hammons and Jeff Crane; sisters, Margaret Gross, Myrtle Van Winkle, and Joyce Sutton; as well a great-granddaughter.

John worked for Sims Company as a contractor. He enjoyed fishing, racing cars, bowling, and traveling. He also enjoyed his time outdoors, and working in his garden and was a veteran serving in the United States Army.

There will be no services at this time.

Memorial contributions may be directed towards a charity of the donor's choice. COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay assisted the family with arrangements.
