Jerry Sands Obituary

Jerry D. Sands

Jerry D. Sands, 75, of Findlay, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol A. (Bunn) Sands; their ornery dog, Jellybean; sons, Scott (Brenda) McConnell and Jeffery (Michele) and Jason (Stacy) Sands; daughter, Kimberly Sands; grandchildren, Jade (Dustin), and their daughters, Ariana and Cali Gordon, Holly (Jacob) Fields, Joey (Aubery), and their children, Brooklynn, Granger, Addyson, and Daisy McConnell, Josh McConnell, Lexie McConnell, Chris Exkbold, Katey (Sean), and their son, Jaxxon Kidder, Alexis and Ethan Sands, Xavier Sands, Austyn (Samantha), and their son, Braxton Sands, Bryana and Desirea Reasons, and Victoria Brookman; special friend, Brad Brookman; and sister-in-law, Janice Sands.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father and mother, Raymond and Rachel (Wooten) Sands; and brothers, Larry and twin brother, Terry Sands.

Jerry was born Sept. 6, 1947, in McComb. Jerry married his loving wife, Carol, on June 8, 1974, whom he adored deeply. You could always count on them being together no matter the circumstance. He loved all of his friends and family dearly. Nothing could compare other than his love for his old cars and trucks, especially his Boss Mustang. Some of Jerry's favorite activities were going out to the lake, working outside around the house, watching Ohio State football, collecting old cars and trucks, watching old Western shows, spending time with family and friends, and joking with his wife. He will be greatly missed by so many friends and family. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten as he lives within each of the lives he touched every day.

Jerry's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at the funeral home.
