Jean was one of the most spiritual, energetic, magnetic persons I ever met. She was completely devoted to her faith and her family.
I was administrative assistant in the Parish Office for many years and had the privilege of knowing Jean quite well. I tried to help her with her loss and void when Herman passed. She was quite devastated and needed a new purpose in life. Between the Holy Spirit, and the two of us, we found that niche for her. She was one of the most dependable, amicable, amazing volunteers I ever had. There were many jobs that the regular staff did not have time to accomplish. All I needed to do was make a phone call, and she dropped everything to come and assist the Parish.
I know the last years were hard because of many health issues, but she always presented as being joyful and hopeful. I know she has found the end of the journey of her pilgrimage. It is called Eternity with all the Angels and Saints and the Blessed Trinity. I am so grateful for having known this woman, and I know her legacy will continue for many generations. We know God will grant her eternal rest and peace, now that she is with Herman.
Jean, you will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for all that we shared together. Your candle certainly was not hidden under a basket. You always lit up my life!
