Jean Arlene Hamilton

Jean Arlene Hamilton, 87, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.

She was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Kendallville, Indiana, to the late Doyle and Arlene Watson. She married Raymond Eugene Hamilton on April 15, 1960, and he preceded her in death July 11, 2011.

They had three sons, Douglas (Linda) Hamilton, Jackson (Jane) Hamilton, and R. Timothy (deceased) (Susan) Hamilton, all of Findlay; grandchildren, Lindsey (Harold) Meadows of Dublin, Ohio, Erin (Chris) Cupples of Bluffton, Laura (Ted) Welsh of Jenera, Landon (Brittany Crawford) Hamilton of Fort Collins, Colorado, Colton Hamilton of Columbus, and Austin (Janie Burwick) Hamilton of Nashville, Tennessee; and six great-grandchildren, Tyler Cupples, Alayna Welsh, Isabelle Meadows, Quinn Cupples, Alivia Welsh, and Carter Meadows. Jean is also survived by two brothers, Doyle Watson of Arcadia and Gary (Marilyn) Watson of Napoleon; and sister, Rose (Henry) Luderman of Portage.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Martin and Kenneth Watson.

Jean was a graduate of Malinta High School and worked for both RCA and Kodak. Her most enjoyable calling was to nurture grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and Audrey and Anthony. Jean and Gene loved to travel and camp in their motor home with family and friends. She was a member of College First Church of God. She will be remembered for her long-standing holiday tradition and family get-togethers and her unconditional love and faithfulness as a dedicated parent and grandparent.

Jean's funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor David Welker officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
