Janice Peterson Obituary
Janice Ruth (Whipple) Peterson from North Baltimore, 88 years old, born in Bloomdale, to the late Walter and Florence (Stevens) Whipple June 28, 1936. She married G. Dale Peterson September 29, 1957, and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Shari Ellen (David) Knarr of St. Charles, Illinois; and son, Steven Dale (Gwen) Peterson of Halethorpe, Maryland; five grandchildren, Wayne (Rebecca) Knarr, Lena (James) Masden, Rachel Peterson, Joseph Peterson, and Joshua Peterson; two great-grandchildren, Kai and Samuel Masden; her brother, Bill (Sue) Whipple; and sister, Bonnie (Carroll, deceased) August.
In her youth, Janice babysat, worked at Weith's Dime Store, and as a carhop at Whitehouse Hamburger.
Janice graduated from North Baltimore High School in 1954 and then attended Tiffin University. She worked at the former Central Rubber and Steel Corporation as a secretary. Janice retired from RCA (GE, Harris, Intersil) of Findlay after 40 years of service.
At the age of 12, Janice believed in and received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Janice was a member of Dayspring Church in Bowling Green, and attended various Bible studies. She was a member of North Baltimore Red Hat Society.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Burial will be at Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township.
Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Dayspring Church, Bowling Green.

I met Jan out and about in the community. I was so inspired by how active she was in her 80´s! She was beautiful inside and out. Sorry for your loss. I barely knew her, but please know that her love of the Lord and for life was noticed, appreciated and inspired others.
