Janet Ruth Myers

Janet R. Myers, 84, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024.

She was born Nov. 14, 1939, in Putnam County, to John D. and Mamie (Prowant) Welch. Janet married Bob F. Myers on Sept. 26, 1956, and he preceded her in death Dec. 30, 2013. She worked at Blanchard Valley Hospital for 21 years.

Janet is survived by four sons, John (Andrea) Myers of Findlay, Rian (Ann) Myers of Republic, Philip (Faith) Myers of Marion, and Darrin (Lisa) Myers of rural Findlay; five daughters, Towona (Greg Sr.) White of Jenera, Robin Myers of Ft. Mohave, Arizona, Kala Strain of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Mary (Bryon) Deeter of Findlay, and Vicki (Jason) Simpson of Bluffton; 29 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Gary Welch of Ft. Mill, South Carolina, and Arden Welch of Findlay.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; son, Randal Myers; brothers, Marvin, Corel, Forrest, Joseph, Dale, Gian, Colon, and Kevin Welch; sisters, Donna Gilbert and Karen Stephen; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Janet was an avid Fenton Glass collector and was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a very proud mother of 10 children who all graduated high school.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Janet's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at the funeral home with Bishop Terry McBeath officiating. Burial will follow at Bishop Cemetery.
