Jameson Edward "Spank" Businger

Jameson "Spank" Edward Anthony Businger, 38, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Jameson was born Nov. 15, 1985, in Bluffton to Robert and Mary Ann (Parkins) Businger.

Jameson graduated from Cory-Rawson High School and Johnson and Wales Culinary Arts in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he became a culinary chef and pastry chef.

He was very inventive with a contagious smile and laugh. Jameson had an appetite for life and great food, he had a great knowledge of food and enjoyed sharing this knowledge with anyone he could. His sharing with others allowed his imagination to come up with even greater recipes and concoctions. Jameson's love of food brought a happy and free spirit that defined him. Observing him in the kitchen was something to behold as a master of making up his own recipes and doing ten things at once.

He enjoyed a tradition of hunting that was started by his grandfather, Ed Parkins. That tradition of hunting led to Jameson's love for bow hunting.

Jameson was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold, a big smile for everyone he met and was always a joy to be around. He will be missed more than any words can express and he will forever be in his family's hearts until they meet again. Jameson always found the time to stop and smell the roses.

Please remember that life is fragile, short and should always be lived to its fullest....at the end of the day.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Mary Ann Businger of Jenera; a brother, Jerrad (Shannon) Businger of Crestwood, Kentucky; a sister, Jaima (Ethan) James of LaGrange, Kentucky; four nieces and a nephew, Raegan, Clara and Noah Businger, and Everly and Quinn James; a paternal grandmother, Catherine Businger of Findlay; a maternal grandmother, Fairy Parkins of Bluffton and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jameson was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Eldon Businger and maternal grandfather, Edward Parkins.

Visitation will be 11:11-1:11 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton, with a celebration of life beginning at 1:11 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to a trust fund that has been set up for his nieces and nephew.
