James Alan "Jim" Warren

James Alan "Jim" Warren, 67, of Alvada, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

He was born Oct. 16, 1956, in Findlay, the son of James D. and Marna (Romick) Warren. He married Lou Anne Laborie on Nov. 20, 1982.

Jim's survivors include his wife, Lou Anne Warren; mother, Marna Warren of rural Arcadia; sons, Eric (Whitney) Warren of Findlay and Chad (Shannon) Warren of Arcadia; daughter, Melanie (Keith) Russell of Findlay; six grandchildren, Morgan, Blake, and Ryan Russell, Bennett Warren, and Carter and Cole Warren; and sisters, Patricia (Al) Sanchez of Vanlue and Sandy (Arlene Bowser) Warren of Findlay.

He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Warren.

Jim was a lifelong member of Arcadia United Methodist Church. He was a former trustee and parsonage building committee member. Currently, he was involved with the finance committee and was a communion usher. He was a 1975 graduate of Arcadia High School. Jim was employed at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company for 32 years as a tire builder, retiring in 2006. Jim took over the family farm after the passing of his father. He drove school bus #3 for 17 years for Arcadia Local Schools after retiring from Cooper. He volunteered in 2009 to be a guardian for Hancock County Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio. He was a member of Findlay Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge #227, serving as Master in 2016, Findlay Chapter #58, Findlay Council #50, and Findlay Commandery #49. He was treasurer and past President of Findlay Shrine Club, secretary/treasurer of Findlay Shrine Clowns, Zenobia Shrine Temple, Valley of Toledo Scottish Rite, and Tiffin Shrine Club. After he started running at age 40, he ran eight marathons, numerous half marathons, and many local 5K runs.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Masonic services will be 7:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Jim's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, at Arcadia United Methodist Church with additional visitation from 10-11 a.m. Pastor David Charles and Pastor David Noel will officiate. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Shriner's Hospital for Children, Chicago, Illinois.

My sincere condolences to Jim's family. My children will never forget him as "bus driver Jim" I am so appreciative to the many years he spent delivering my children safely to school, and back home. Always greeting them with a smile. Keeping his family in my prayers.
