James Steen Obituary

James Steen

James Steen, 73, of Findlay, died at 12:45 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, in Findlay at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. He was born August 28, 1952, in Findlay to the late John "Jack" and Virginia (Dunn) Steen. He married Debra Byrd and they were divorced.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Tonya (Russ) Purtee of Findlay and Tara (Travis Hinkle) Steen of Ironton; sisters, Patti (Steve Miller) Heldman of Findlay and Judy (Tony) Humphrey of North Baltimore; grandchildren, Seth (Simone) Jacomet, Kylie (Ryan) Spradlin, Caleb Dutton, Jake Dutton, Liam Steen, and Lennox Hinkle; and many nieces and nephews who will miss his stories and grumpy old man act.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Bissell and a brother, Tim Steen.

Jim retired from Whirlpool in 2014 as a towmotor driver. He had also worked at various auto repair shops. He was a U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
