James Puchta Obituary

James F. "Jim" Puchta

James Franklin "Jim" Puchta, 78, fell asleep peacefully next to the love of his life of 58 years and woke up in Heaven.

Jim was born June 12, 1945, to Frank and Nancy Puchta, who preceded him in death. After graduating in Carey in 1963, he married Sherry Hotelling on Aug. 7, 1965. He retired from Nissin Brake Ohio in 2007 and has enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, playing cards and bingo, and going to the casino.

Jim will be forever missed by his wife, Sherry; their two sons and wives, Bryan and Cassie and Chris and Tracie, all of Findlay; eight grandchildren that cherish his memory, Chaz (Ashley), Paige (Gage), Tony (Sarah), Emilee (Mike), Jocellen (Olivia), Storm (Kantrell), Savannah (Mekhi), and Yuri; six great-grandkids, Layla and Isabella, Alistair and Atticus, Isaac, and Macklin; sisters, Carol Porter, Sharon (Pete) Niederkohr, and Connie (Steve) Stapley; and nieces and nephews.

A time to gather and celebrate Jim's life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, until the time of his celebration of life service at 4 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, Ohio, 43316.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jim's honor to U.S. Renal Care and can be sent to the funeral home.
