James Carl Demler

James Carl Demler, 90, of Findlay, passed away at The Heritage Friday, November 28, 2025. He was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, December 12, 1934, the son of the late Marvin C. and Willena (Brown) Demler. On August 11, 1956, he married Darmis Ann Demler, who preceded him in death November 15, 2025.

Survivors include his son, David (June) Demler of Upper Sandusky; a daughter, Amy (Duane) Fovargue of Utica; grandchildren, Julie (Craig) Roe, Peter (Janet) Fovargue, and Andrew (Kaylinn) Fovargue; great-grandchildren, Chase, Everett, Reagan, Clara, Zoe, Morgan, Remi, and Nora; and his brother, Roger (Sally) Demler of Ashland, Masschusetts.

James was a graduate of Fairborn High School and The Ohio State University in animal science, as well as a member of Alpha Gamma Rho agriculture fraternity at Ohio State. He owned D&H Supply, where he was an agriculture engineer, sold grain bins and worked as a millwright to install the bins he sold. James was a board member of Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative, attended Good Hope Lutheran Church in Arlington, and enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes. James was also an inductee of Hancock County Agriculture Hall of Fame and supported agriculture and agricultural-related education.

Visitation for James will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Steve Ramsey officiating. Donations in his memory can be sent to Good Hope Lutheran Church Food Pantry or Ralph L. Bazler Scholarship Fund at The Ohio State University.
