James Brose Obituary
James D. Brose, 68, of Fostoria, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, at Firelands Hospital, Sandusky.
He was born Aug. 27, 1956, in Tiffin, to Herman and Joyce (Heilman) Brose. James married Marcene True on March 3, 1979, in Fostoria.
He is survived by his wife, Marcene "Bird" Brose; daughter, Lindsey (Darrell Vinson) Brose of Fremont; sons, Jeremy L. (Noelle Berman) Brose of Columbus, Seth (Chelsea Heifner) Brose of New Vienna, and Louis (Edith) Grine of Findlay; brothers, Peter and Doug Brose, both of Fostoria; sisters, Sandy (Don) Poling of Arizona, Irene Brose, Becky (Richard) McCumber, Karen Pittman, and Margaret Brose, all of Fostoria, Patty (Phil) Fry of Bettsville, Ruth (Jacque) Brose of Massachusetts, and Martha Horton of Avon Lake; granddaughter, Sophie Page; and beloved dog, Jazzy.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
James worked at Gray Printing for 28 years and also Norton's and Fry Foods. He was a graduate of St. Wendelin High School. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and his place at the lake. He loved being with his family and taking his dog, Jazzy, on golf cart rides.
James' funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Mark Self officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.
Memorials can be made to Lake Erie Foundation.
