Jim took a picture of me in high school and it didn't look like me at all. He somehow captured my best features. He had pure talent. I hold fond memories of him.

Jim and I met in photography classes at RIT, roomed together for a while, and had many adventures there and elsewhere. A decade later, he became good friends with my wife, as well (that´s her in the picture - it's the last one I took of him). He was smart, charming, generous, kind, and always optimistic.

I am saddened to hear of this. Jamie was a drum student of mine, and was as outgoing as they come. He was fun to work with. He always seemed quite happy (or, maybe just a little "off his nut") and always looking forward to what life had in store for him. He was an excellent photographer! I lost track of him over the years, and now, this. He left us too soon.
