James Anderson Obituary

James K. Anderson

James K. Anderson, Sr., 72, of Hoytville, passed away at his residence Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024.

He was born Dec. 26, 1951, in Bluffton to Jim E. and Inez (McCartney) Anderson. James married Mary Herringshaw on April 22, 1978, and she survives.

James was a McComb High School graduate. He was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, NASCAR, and go-kart racing. He loved going to the lake and going to Oak Openings Preserve Metropark. Above all, his love for his children and grandchildren was immense.

James will forever be loved by his wife of 46 years, Mary; children, James K. (Devin) Anderson, Donald D. (Barb) Anderson, David L. Anderson, Kimberly (Jerry) Gibson, Jason A. Anderson, Jonathan L. (Jen) Anderson, Amanda Kurth and Nichole (Andrew) Campbell; 24 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Helen (Mike) Heinze; and brothers, Robert (Cathy) Anderson, Karl (Sue) Cotterman, Tom Cotterman and Jerry Cotterman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Richard Anderson, Jack Cotterman, Judy Butler, Margret Bean and Michael Anderson; son-in-law, Jerry Gibson; and his grandson, Ethan Anderson.

Friends and family may visit from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500).

Memorial contributions in James' name may be made to the family in c/o the funeral home.
