He was born Jan. 23, 1948, in Springville, Ohio, to the late Garner and Lois (Snook) Collins. He married Helen (Lane) Kirchner on June 24, 1977, and they celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Jackie is survived by his wife; two children, Michelle Obenour and Jackie II (Erin) Collins; grandchildren, Chris (Kayla) Obenour, Samantha (Robert) Ratcliff, Blake Obenour, Aliya Obenour, Kristyn (Kevin) Farmer, and Celia, Shelby and Josephine Collins; great-grandchildren, Lilliana, Beckett, Nora, Liam, Gabriella, Anabelle, and Hunter; three brothers, Steven (Darlene) Collins, Richard "Rick" Collins, and Chip Conley; and sister, Janet (Allan) Nye.

Jackie was also preceded in death by his son, Christopher Kirchner; and brother, Gary Collins.

Jack was a graduate of Carey High School and attended Bowling Green State University. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation as an Area Coordinator. He refereed football from the midget league to college teams. He helped coach football at both Hardin-Northern and Liberty-Benton and taught referee classes at Findlay College. Jack was an avid Ohio State fan, enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains, and working in the yard. The joy of his life was spending time with his grandkids. Jack was in my first 8th grade class at Carey and we stayed close in Findlay over those years. I will miss those "HI Ron" geetings at Oiler games.

Jack and I have been friends since the early school days. We hung out together all the time. I saw him recently and learned of his illness. He was such a great guy. My sympathy goes out to his family.
