Jack Fitzgerald Kramer

Jack Fitzgerald Kramer, 55, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, at his home following sudden illness.

Jack was born March 3, 1967, in Findlay. He was raised in Findlay, graduating from Findlay High School with the class of 1985. Lorain has been his home for the last 21 years.

Jack was employed as a superintendent at Shelly Company for over 20 years and served. Jack graduated from Bowling Green State University with his bachelors in Construction Management and Architecture. Outside of work, he loved hockey. While in high school, he played hockey, and since 2002, was the assistant coach for the boys Amherst Steele hockey team. Besides hockey, he loved watching and feeding birds. He also loved art and being creative. He will be remembered as a compassionate animal lover especially towards his pets. His gentle and gregarious manner will be deeply missed by his wife and family.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years. Sheila Ann Kramer (nee Holbrook); children, Amanda Keslar of North Olmsted, Shawn Hunt of Lorain, and Paige Kramer of Lorain; two grandchildren, Kayleen Zimmerman and Addison Keslar; brother, Ted (Lynn) Kramer of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister, Jill (Brad) Burkard of Wapakoneta; and beloved mother, Janet Kramer (nee Rutter) of Findlay, whom he cherished.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Chloe Keslar in 2014; and father, Gerald Kramer in 2016.

A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at Hempel Funeral Home with a reception to follow at Amherst Historical Society 1-4 p.m.
