Izaak Walton Obituary
Izaak Walton, 71, of Carey, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Izaak was born in Findlay, April 6, 1954, to the late Izaak and Margaret (Mangett) Walton. He married Sally Stewart in August of 1996, and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Abby Walton, Josh (Natalie) Walton, Izaak (Mindy) Walton, Betsy (Mike) Bakies and Jim Thatcher; grandchildren, Cooper, Reid, Grier, Emmy, Ava, Luke, Izaak, Ezra, Haley, Britney, Marissa, Jimmy and Megan; two great-granddaughters, Ellie and Ruby and siblings, Christine "Sue" (Will) Risdon, Anita "GiGi" Tunney, Mike (Betsy) Bakies, Pat (Dawn) Bakies, Andy Bakies and Lisa (Kevin) Bame; a host of nieces and nephew; and his beloved canine companion, Rocky.
He was preceded in death by a son, Seth Walton; grandson, Eric; his sister, Sandy Ogg; and a brother-in-law, Jack Tunney.
Izaak was known for his selfless spirit and kind sense of humor. Izaak touched countless lives through his generosity and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need.
A true fighter, Izaak faced life's challenges with courage and a deep desire to live each day to its fullest. He cherished the time he spent with his brothers and sisters, finding joy and strength in their bond. His laughter, compassion, and loyalty will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
Izaak's legacy of kindness, love, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A time to gather and celebrate Izaak's life will be from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, Ohio 43316.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Izaak's honor to Alzheimer's Association.
