Ilo Martin Obituary
Ilo R. Martin, 90, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
Ilo was born April 29, 1933, in Pandora, to Harry and Caroline (Schumacher) VanScoder. She married Donald R. "Don" Marion on March 15, 1952, and he survives.
She was a 1951 graduate of Pandora High School and member of Pandora United Methodist Church. She worked in the cafeteria of Pandora Schools for 25 years and was a volunteer at V.O.S.H. for over 10 years. She liked to knit, sew, and crochet. She was an amazing cook. She loved to travel with her husband, Don. She especially enjoyed their trip to Alaska.
She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Donald R. "Don" Martin of Pandora; two children, Thomas "Tom" (Cheryl) Martin of Bluffton and Leeann (John) Green of Pandora; son-in-law, Mark Watkins of Pandora; four grandchildren, Sara (Jon) Perkins, Jason (Lauren) Martin, Bradley Watkins, and Nicole (Noel) Canlas; four great-grandchildren, Landon and Grayson Perkins, Lena Martin, and Henry Canlas; and sister, Jean Anspaugh.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Watkins; and three siblings, Harold "Skeet" VanScoder, Helen Balister, and Katheryn Fruchey.
Ilo's services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Pandora United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ruth Carter-Crist will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pandora United Methodist Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
