Henry "Hank" Fackler
Henry "Hank" Fackler, 78, of Lewis Center, passed peacefully into God's embrace at 5:04 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Born September 7, 1946, to the late Cleal and Francis (Brown) Fackler, Hank lived a life defined by devotion, integrity, and quiet strength.
On September 28, 1981, he married the love of his life, Cynthia, who survives him. Together, they enjoyed a family grounded in love and laughter. Hank is also survived by five children, Michelle Broad of Findlay, Brian (Danielle) Collins of Powell, Stephanie (Jason) Bennett of Powell, Chad (Jen) Fackler of Deshler, and Shannon Janczewski of Deshler, as well as 10 grandchildren who brought endless joy to his days.
Hank was a man of remarkable capability-organized, meticulous, and always ready with a solution. Whether repairing a broken appliance or lending a steady hand in a time of need, he was someone everyone could count on. His deep love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was fiercely devoted to his grandchildren and treasured every moment he spent with them. His bond with Cynthia was the cornerstone of his life. She was his anchor and greatest joy, and together they built a life filled with loyalty, laughter, and unwavering commitment.
A lifelong dog lover, Hank opened both his home and heart to many cherished companions over the years. They brought him comfort, joy, and quiet understanding- reflecting the same kindness and steadiness that defined his character. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later retired as department manager from Ball Metal after 32 years of dedicated service. Hank was a proud veteran and a hard-working man whose legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him.
He is also survived by his sister, Cindy (Kenneth) Isom of Pulaski, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bo Fackler of Deshler, William "Bill" (Rhonda) Fackler of Bryan, John (Connie) Fackler of Deshler, Gary Brown, and Deanna Ackerman.
Hank's life was a testament to the quiet power of kindness, and he truly embodied the essence of a gentle soul. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.
