Harold Greer Obituary
Harold L. Greer, 87, of Williamstown, Ohio. passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022 at his daughter's residence.
He was born Sept. 21, 1935, to the late Ballard and Linda (Mead) Greer. He first married Kathlene May and they divorced. He later married Wilma Jean Martin on July 7, 1971, and she preceded him in death July 9, 2015.
Harold is survived by his sons, Dwight Martin of Dola, Lloyd (Betty) Greer of South Carolina, and Tim Greer of Georgia; daughters, Mary (Larry) Glass of Urbana, Rhonda Greer of Findlay, and Teresa Howard of Williamstown; brothers, Burl (Joan) Greer of Findlay and Alvin (Julie) Greer of California; sisters, Silvia VanAtta of Dayton, Gerelene (Ross) Draper of Dola, Audrey Greer of Arizona, Bunny (Paul) Crowe of Williamstown, Neola Zechman of Arlington, and Marlene Hurt of Kenton; 28 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his sons, Eddie Martin and Jeff Greer; daughter, Nita Martin; brothers, Claude Greer, Carl Greer, Merlin Greer, and Melvin Greer; and sister, Phyllis Beriantos.
Harold was a member of Church of God International. He worked for Ford Motors in Michigan for seven years, then at Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. in Findlay for 13 years before going to work at Tara Materials in Lawrenceville, Georgia for 30 years. Harold enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. Harold also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and church family.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, at Crates Funeral Home, 620 North Main Street, Arlington. Harold's funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery.
