Gerald Marvin Obituary
Gerald P. Marvin, 85, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022. He was born July 22, 1937, to the late Eugene and Lela (Hartman) Marvin. His mother passed while giving birth to Gerald and his twin sister. Twins were then raised by the late Wilbur and Ova Peters. Gerald married Frances Kay Zeigler on Dec. 1, 1959, and she preceded him in death. He then married Marlene Higgins and she survives.
Mr. Marvin had three children together, Terry Paul Marvin, Paula Kay Marvin, and Pamela Sue Marvin, and they all preceded him in death. Gerald is survived by his siblings, Grace Sherman of Findlay, Sharon Sheehan of Sarasota, Florida, Gertrude (Karl) Gingrich of Findlay, Ralph (Betty) Marvin and Kate (Max) Wise of Findlay, and Carolyn St. James of Findlay. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Dori Basinger, Nana Lee, Clare Marvin, Wendell Marvin, Alice Dulgar, Virginia Metzger, and Annabel Daugherty. Mr. Marvin is also survived by six grandchildren, Todd Marvin, Nick Brogan, Alex Brogan, and Chakotay, Dylan, and Sierra; and four great-grandchildren.
Gerald was a 1955 graduate of Arcadia High School. He was a farmer and drove school bus for Vanlue for 33 years.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Gerald's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Tom Everett officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, West Independence. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Gerald to the family, in care of Coldren-Crates Funeral Home.

I remember Gerald being a very caring man and full of jokes whenever I talked to him. Prayers, thoughts and hugs go out to his family.
