Gerald Fletcher Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" Fletcher, 87, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, at Birchaven Village surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was born May 26, 1936, in Findlay, to Stanley and Mabel (Bower) Fletcher. He married the love of his life, Lois Farlee, on Dec. 21, 1957, at Howard United Methodist Church, Findlay, and she preceded him in death Oct. 13, 2022, after 64 years of marriage.
Jerry is survived by three daughters, Shelley Fletcher of Findlay, Debra (Robert) Creed of Canton, Michigan, and Sara (Chris) Gomez of Van Buren; grandchildren, Eric and Sean (Monica) LeBay, Alicia (Ryan) Paree, Phillip (Krystina) Creed, Christopher Fletcher, and Tyler (Lindsay) Gomez; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sibling, Jerretta Clapp; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Fletcher; grandchildren, Jason LeBay, Matthew Gomez, and Kathryn Creed; brothers, Thomas Fletcher and Theodore Fletcher; and stepfather, David Franklin Milliron.
Jerry proudly served his country in U.S. Marine Corp and U.S. Navy. He was a faithful member of Howard United Methodist Church, Findlay. Jerry retired from Hyway Trucking in 2002. Jerry was a friendly and caring individual who never met a stranger. Jerry will be missed by all that knew him.
Services for Jerry will be private for his family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's honor to Alzheimer's Association, 480 W. Dussel Dr. Suite 140, Maumee, Ohio, 43537, or charity of the donor's choice.
