Georgia I. Smith

Georgia I. Smith, 80, of Findlay, passed away at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, Tuesday, July 29, 2025. She was born June 30, 1945, in Lima, the daughter of James and Nellie (Hariff) Gay. On March 1, 1968, she married Darrell Smith, who preceded her in death September 6, 2016.

Survivors include her brother, William (Linda) Gay, of Yuma, Arizona, and a sister, Ruth Ann Even, of Tacoma, Washington.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; brothers, James Sr., Walter and George Gay; and sisters, Marquerite Gay, Mary McFadden, and Nellie Long.

Georgia was a homemaker and retired hostess. She was interested in all things republican and attended the Findlay Bible Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Knollcrest Gardens Chapel, east of Findlay, with a graveside service to follow at the chapel with Pastor Travis Johnson officiating. Burial will follow.

Memorial contribu-tions may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.coldrencrats.com. The COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, is assisting family with arrangements.
