Gary Sites Obituary

Gary Lee Sites

Gary Lee Sites, 84, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. He was born December 3, 1940, in Utica, Ohio, to the late Kenneth Austin and Olive Jeanne (Russell) Sites. Gary married Marvelene "Joyce" Stauffer on August 31, 1959, and she preceded him in death January 8, 1992.

Gary is survived by his sons, Gary Lee (Tammy) Sites II of McComb and Michael Paul (Michelle) Sites of Findlay; a daughter, Carol Rose Sites of Bloomdale; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joyce.

Gary served in the U.S. Army, and he was also in the National Guard. He was a mail carrier in Findlay for 33 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed classic cars, would put together models of all kinds, and build things. He was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan. He loved to watch John Wayne movies and learn about WWII facts.

Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where members of Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad will perform military honors.

Memorial contribu-tions may be directed to Hancock County Humane Society and Wounded Warriors Project.
