Gary Donald Lowe

Gary Donald Lowe, 70, of Lima and formerly of Findlay, passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at Dayton Veterans Administration Hospital.

He was born Sept. 2, 1952, in Findlay. Don served his country proudly in U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his daughter, Majesta Shephard of Laughlin, Nevada; son, Cody Donald Lowe of Cleveland, Tennessee; brother, Bobby (Tayna) Lowe of Florida; and four grandchildren, Ryan Shephard, Kyle Shephard, Landen Lowe, and Andie Memphis Lowe.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harvey Lee Lowe Jr., and Jack, Bill, and Rick Lowe; and sister, Judy Burden.

Don was a truck driver for many years. He was a life long member of American Legion and member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. He enjoyed boating and fishing, and was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan. Don retired from Lanes Moving and Storage.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Gary's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted by Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.

Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Don to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Online condolences can be expressed to the family by visiting coldrencrates.com.
