Gary Lannes Obituary
Gary Lannes, 81, of Findlay. passed away at his residence Tuesday, November 18, 2025. He was born in Fostoria, June 9, 1944, the son of the late Eugene and Evelyn (Leighty) Lannes. On September 23, 1989 he married Marilyn (Smith) Lannes who preceded him in death January 9, 2020.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Gary Lannes of Houston, Texas, Chad Alan (Rizza) Lannes of Mason; a daughter, Melissa Lowman of Findlay, a stepson, James (Anne) Dean of Columbus; and a stepdaughter, Julie (Bill) McIntosh of Findlay; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Gary graduated from Fostoria high school in 1962 and was a retired maintenance person at Kuss Corporation, Findlay. His passion was drumming and percussion. He performed two shows with Crystal Gayle and one with Rich Little. He was also a manager and member of the Night Jazz Band. Gary was also in various pool leagues where he played in tournaments in Las Vegas and was an Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Visitation for Gary will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Burial will be at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Marathon Center for the Performing Arts.
