Gary Douglas Jones, known to some radio listeners as ‘Jacked Up Guy’, was born on December 8, 1956 and passed away peacefully in his home Sunday July 20, 2025. He was a loving husband, father to two girls, a grandfather, and a brother.
Doug retired from AT&T in 2016, then continued working part time for 103.7 ‘The Buzz’. It was here he garnered the title of ‘Jacked Up Guy’ and brought his sense of humor to many. Doug was also a softball coach for 10 years at Little Oaks Ball Park. Doug was a stranger to no one with his warm smile and wonderful sense of humor. An avid New York Yankees fan, Doug loved talking baseball with fellow sports fans.
Doug Jones is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandy, his two daughters Stephanie (Josh), Natalie (Matt), two grandchildren, and his sister, Teresa (Jonathan). Doug will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Doug’s memory to a dementia research or support organization of your choice, to help others facing this difficult journey.
A private memorial will be held for family at a later date.
