Gary R. Hines

Gary R. Hines, 84, of Findlay, died Monday, July 7, 2025. He was born March 2, 1941, in Pike County, Ohio, son of the late Frank Charles Hines and Elizabeth Boggs. He was united in marriage to his wife, Eva Jo (Davis) Hines, who preceded him in death. Surviving is a son, Frank (Deb) Hines of Upper Sandusky; daughter, Norma (Jay) Crates of Findlay; grandchildren, Jessica (Nathan) Price of Findlay and Josh (Mariah) Crates of Findlay; and five great-grandchildren, Nathan, Andrew, Olivea, Caraline and Jason; and nephew Brett Hines of Waverly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Hines; and an infant daughter, Tammy Hines; infant grandson, Derik; five brothers, Jim, Frank "Jr.", Harold, Paul, Vernon, and Delbert; and six sisters, Viola, Esther, Margaret, Ruth, Maxine, and Winnie.

Gary retired from Laborers International Union of North America Local No. 574. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding go-karts with his sons. Gary also loved the holidays, where he would spend time with his family. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, where a funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery.
