Gary, I was taken aback when Bruce called about your passing. As HS friends, the three of us did so much together; playing pool at your house, hanging out at Bruce´s, cruising the circuit downtown, and the other corny things teens do. I was blessed to have been your friend and you will live in my memories.

My sincere condolences to His loving Family. Gary always had a good spirit. I hope that You all can find peace, in Your hearts, knowing that You will someday be reunited , in God´s Kingdom

I met Gary later in life, and I can honestly say-he made it feel like I´d known him forever. He was funny, easy to talk to, and had that rare ability to make everyone around him feel instantly at ease.
Now, I´ll admit-when I heard he was from Ohio, I had my reservations. My only other experience with someone from Ohio was Dan, and he´s a great guy. But two good people from the same state? That´s a pattern. There must be something in the water-or maybe the Buckeyes are just built differently.
With Gary, you couldn´t help but be drawn in by his kindness, his wit, and his big heart. He had that Ohio warmth that sneaks up on you-not flashy, not loud, but steady, generous, and genuine.
He might not have been in my life the longest, but he left a lasting mark. I´m grateful our paths crossed, even if it was later on. Ohio gave us one of the good ones.
