G. Dayringer Obituary
G. Daniel (Dan) Dayringer of Lenoir City, Tennessee and formerly of Van Buren, age 82, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 6, 2025.
He was born November 28, 1942, to Frank and Bina Dayringer in Findlay. He married his wife Linda Hampshire on April 22, 1983, in Findlay.
Dan was a 1961 graduate of Van Buren High School, where he served as president of his high school class. He was also mayor of Van Buren for several years. He retired from Columbia Gas of Ohio on June 1, 2000.
Dan loved to hunt and was a long-time skeet, trap, and sporting clay shooter. He attended Findlay Grace Brethren Church, Maranatha Bible Church, and Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ohio; he more recently attended Dixie Lee Baptist Church in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
Dan is survived by his wife, Linda; and five children, Rob (Cindy) Dayringer, Sicomous, Canada, Wendy (Tom) Presler, Fairbanks, Alaska, Jim (Laura) Dayringer, North Port, Florida, Jay (Lisa) Huffman and Shawn Huffman, both of Knoxville, Tennessee; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry Dayringer of Fostoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Aldijana Huffman.
It was Dan's wishes to be cremated. There will be no visitation or services at this time.
The family would like to thank Adoration Home Health Care and Hospice for their loving care in Dan's final days.
