Frank McLaren Obituary
Frank Vernon McLaren, 93, of Findlay, passed away at 11 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
He was born April 11, 1932, in Dumfries, Scotland, to James and Elizabeth (nee Vernon) McLaren. He married Dolores Kowalski on May 8, 1954. They were married for 69 happy years until Dolores passed away April 28, 2023.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Steve) Domke of Almont, Michigan, Debra (Stephen) Lowrie of Keller, Texas, and Donna (Darryl) Williams of Franklin, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Jonathan (Theresa), Shaun (Carly), Andrew (Heather), Sarah (BJ), Rachel (Shaun), Daniel (Ashley) Matthew and Melissa (Andrew); and 14 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Corbin, Abigail, Madison, Ben, Andrew, James, Elizabeth, Rowan, Lilly, Alice, Eleanor, Caleb, and Carter.
Frank became a naturalized citizen and served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He lived in Detroit, Michigan, before relocating to Findlay in 1981, when his employer, Ex-Cell-O, relocated to Bluffton.
Frank prioritized his family, treasured his friends, and contributed to his community. His kindness and faithful example will be missed.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica, Michigan. Frank's funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Dr. Stephen Lowrie officiating. Graveside service will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
