Erma Conley Obituary
Erma Wayne Conley, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born Oct. 24, 1926, in Johnson County, Kentucky, to Floyd and Ocie Ora (May) Bayes. She married Victor Rowland Conley on Nov. 16, 1946, and together, they had six children.
Erma is survived by her children, Wanda (Robert) Culver of Carey, Phillip (Kandus) Conley of Findlay, and Vickie (Jerry) Pore of Arlington; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren who absolutely adored their Mimi; sister, Mary Ann Evans of Marshall, Michigan; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bayes of Pandora; and brother-in-law, Edsol Higgins of Fulton, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; daughter, Janet Kay; sons, Ronald Kenneth and Howard Eugene; grandson, Darren Conley; son-in-law, Robert Culver; daughter-in-law, Kandus Conley; parents; siblings, Floyd "Lowell" Bayes, Forest "Frank" Bayes, Emogene Blair, Christine Higgins, and Maxine (Wright) Wince; and brothers-in-law, Otto Blair, Hobart Wright, Glenn Wince, and Stephan Evans.
Erma graduated from Jenny's Creek High School at age 16 and then attended Mayo State Vocational School in Kentucky. She worked for Porcelain Products in Carey, but she was always a homemaker at heart. She loved cooking and gardening and taking care of her family, church, and church family.
She was born again Oct. 19, 1942, and committed her life to her dear Lord and Savior. In 1958 along with her husband Vic, they were charter members of Stoney Ridge United Baptist Church, Carey. Brother Vic was ordained and served as a deacon for 39 years until his passing. Sister Erma faithfully served beside him through those years and continuing until she passed.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Beach Funeral Home, Carey. Erma's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Stoney Ridge United Baptist Church, Carey, with Brother Pat Gilliland and Brother Tony Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Bloom Cemetery, Vanlue.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stoney Ridge United Baptist Church in Carey, Wyandot County Hospice, or Alzheimer's Association on her behalf.

I always remember whenever I would see Erma she always made it a point to say hello, and her hellos were so sweet and loving.
