Edward Vielhaber Obituary

Edward F. Vielhaber

Edward F. Vielhaber, age 61, of Findlay, passed away peacefully at 2:50 am on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, OH, surrounded by family. Ed was born on December 7, 1962, to the late Leo J. and Jeanette M. (Taylor) Vielhaber.

Edward is survived by his siblings, Richard (Marianna) Vielhaber of Findlay, OH, Larry (Martha) Vielhaber of Westerville, OH, Susan (Alan) Graf of Longboat Key, FL, and John Vielhaber of Findlay, OH, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ed was a 1983 graduate of Findlay High School. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Findlay and worked at Blanchard Valley Industries. Ed enjoyed soap operas, movies, and a variety of music. He was an avid sports fan. Known as "Fast Eddie," he was a long-standing (pun intended) and valued member of the Great American Football Pool. Ed enjoyed traveling to places like Boston's Fenway Park, Gulf Shores Alabama, Las Vegas, and Florida, to name a few.

Throughout his life, Ed defied the experts and all odds. We might all be inspired by Ed's courageous life, the manner in which he carried on, and above all, be grateful for the good fortune that has been bestowed upon us for having known and loved Ed. We will all miss his wry humor and sharp wit.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 10-11 am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Downtown Chapel, 617 West Main Cross, Findlay, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am and burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery following the Mass. Ed's care has been entrusted to Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Ave. Findlay, OH. Memorials may be shared with "The Jeanette and Leo Vielhaber Scholarship Fund" through the Community Foundation of Hancock County, or, Bridge Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, in Ed's name. Online condolences may be shared with his family at kirkpatrickbehnke.com.
