Dylan Hammond Obituary

Dylan M. Hammond

Dylan M. Hammond, whose infectious laughter and vibrant soul made him the life of the party, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 30, 2025. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Kreeger, David and Linda Hamilton, and his cousin, Mateo Muniz. Known for bringing excitement and light into every room, Dylan created unforgettable memories for those fortunate enough to know him.

Dylan was born to and survived by his parents, Angela Bame (Navarro) and Christopher (Ada) Hammond, April 9, 1999, in Fostoria. Early in life, Dylan became a superior athlete, thriving in wrestling and football. After graduating from Columbus Grove High School in 2017, Dylan went on to earn his associate degree in business management and his real estate license, reflecting his dedication and drive. He celebrated his achievements with the same enthusiasm and warmth that defined all aspects of his life. He was also employed at Pastimes for nine years, where he not only made friends but also family.

Dylan's favorite ways to spend his time were making his friends laugh and traveling with his fiancée, Kayla. He loved exploring new places. Traveling brought him joy, and those who knew him will always remember the way his eyes lit up when he talked about a place he had visited or planned to visit.

Dylan was a devoted son, a loyal brother, a loving uncle, a proud cat dad to Ashtray, and a soon-to-be father.

Ambitious by nature, he was always reaching for higher goals and achieving them through hard work and perseverance. He inspired those around him simply by being himself: reliable, determined, thoughtful and endlessly supportive.

Dylan will be remembered for his big heart, his steady presence and the incredible impact he had on everyone lucky enough to know him.

Dylan was loved by many. He is survived by his fiancée, Kayla Carroll; parents, Christopher (Ada) Hammond of Fremont, Angie (Eric Debelak) Bame of Findlay and stepdad, David (Rebecca) Flanders; stepmother, Kelly Hammond of Bloomville; brothers, Christian (Madilynn Peterson) Jordan of Findlay, Mason (Brittany Modica) Hammond of Temperance, Michigan, and Justin Flanders of Ottawa; sisters, Taylor (fiancé,Drew Turner) Hammond of Bloomville and Ella Hammond; grandparents, Cindy and Scott Senn, Richard and Marjory Navarro both of Fostoria, Larry and Diane Hammond of St. Mary's, and Pamela Kreeger of Mt. Gilead; great-grandmothers, Enedina Navarro and Marlene Mathias.

Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at First Church of the Nazarene, Fostoria, with Pastor Dan Vickey officiating. Burial will be at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the church.

I did not know Dylan but was looking at his obituary today and the most beautiful and fun loving smile was in front of me. He sounded like a gem of a son to have and enjoyed his family and cat with all his heart. So sorry.

He was one of the first bar tenders I met at pastimes in Grandview. Always had a smile on his face when I come in. Said to me hey girl how´s it going. Hey beautiful. Hey Natalie. Dylan was the most caring, loving, kind, sweet and adorable person ever. He always stuck up for me when there was a problem when someone was being mean to me. It was so crazy that I just saw him the day I was leaving for the airport on Nov 20th. I found out the news the day I was leaving to come home. When I heard the news I was so shocked! I was so thankful that I saw him before I left and I got to know him. I balled my eyes out and still am. Such a special person. Dylan you touched many people and you will always remembered and in my heart.
