Douglas Prelutsky Obituary

I had the privilege of partnering with Doug through Amazon on several community engagement activities and events. Although I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, his warmth, compassion, and genuine care for others were always unmistakable. Doug had a special way of touching the lives of those around him - even from miles and cities apart. His kindness and spirit will continue to inspire all of us who had the honor of working alongside him.

I met Doug while working at Amazon and we connected over our shared interest in Amazon swag and how much it meant to our respective teams when we recognized them for their hard work and effort with a pin, a shirt, or a cap. Doug was a wonderful influence on others, and went out of his way to include everyone and made them feel welcomed. I had just connected with him last week over upcoming plans for a swag group that he and I oversaw. His impact is (probably) further reaching within Amazon than he knew.

I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, but the outpouring of support and recognition that has followed the announcement of his passing is a testament to who he was as a human being.

From my family to yours, we wish you our sincerest condolences. May you find solace in his passing, and we wish him a safe journey in his next life.
