Dorothy Rinebolt Obituary

Dorothy Anne Rinebolt

Dorothy Anne (Fleming) Rinebolt, 56, of Findlay, passed away on May 17, 2023. Anne was born on June 4, 1966 the second daughter of David and Sonja Fleming in Findlay. Anne was a long time figure skater who spent many of her childhood and early adult years on the ice, along with her figure skating she was a member of the Findlay High School Orchestra as a violist. Anne was a traveler who made her way around the states and traveled all over Europe.

After Anne graduated from Findlay High School in 1984, she went on to attend the University of Toledo and studied Accounting. In 1993, Anne Fleming met David Rinebolt in Findlay, they went on to live in Washington DC in 1993 and made their way back to Findlay in 1996. Anne and David went on to have two children, Maxwell and Spencer. Anne was a great mother and found so much joy in caring for children, this led to her spending many years working at Lincoln Elementary as a lunch monitor, through which she was able to positively affect the lives of the children who walked through its doors. She was a lover of animals throughout her life, growing up having dogs and later finding a love for cats leading to her having many cats and dogs throughout her life; as well as putting up with the many fish that her children got from the Hancock County Fair.

She also greatly cared for others and loved to host parties to spread the joy that she felt. During the holidays, she would hold nothing back, whether it be the 20ft inflatable Santa Claus that she would put up around Christmas or the skeletons and webs that would be put up around Halloween at her home on Lima Street. She is survived by her sister Sonja (Fleming) Katawczik, and her two sons Maxwell Rinebolt, 25, and Spencer Rinebolt, 22. A celebration of life will be held at The Elks Club of Findlay on Saturday, May 27th from 12-2 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hancock County ADAMHS, 438 Carnahan Ave., Findlay OH 45840 to support mental health initiatives in Hancock County.

The year is coming to an end and I'm just now learning of Annie's passing.
I am so sorry to have not known so I could have sent flowers in memory of the fondness I still hold of both sisters. Although our families drifted a bit- the good times have been cherished and never lost.
My thoughts are with you.

Anne, a childhood friend from church, as an adult working for the election office, was a pole worker @ the DOCK. She served at the table furthest from the door. The table my precinct was at, was hers. I wouldn´t be 1/2 way thru the room & she´d call out my name along w Darling. Suddenly every voter & volunteer knew I was in the building. That was Anne. Didn´t want to miss seeing a life long friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Anne from when I worked at Kroger pharmacy, she was so nice and caring. Her smile was beautiful and she lite up the room.

Margarite, please know I'm very sorry to learn of Annie's passing! I'm also sorry to have lost track of you after you left for college in Grove City, PA. I thought of you often through the years & wondered how you were. Oddly Ron Cable was in my office a couple weeks ago & I brought up your name! Angie Middleton
