Dorothy Kovach Obituary
Dorothy K. Kovach, 98, formerly of Upper Sandusky and most recently of Findlay, died at Birchaven on July 2, 2022. She was born June 14, 1924, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Mary (Rosky) Bill. After his wife's death, her father married Kathryn Kolesar. She married John C. Kovach on Nov. 27, 1948, and he preceded her in death Aug. 19, 2018. Surviving are her children, Diane (James) Gabriel of Anaheim, California, John (Maureen) Kovach II of Findlay, and Carol Kovach of Findlay; grandchildren, Brigette Howard, John (Jen) Kovach III, Bethany (Alex) Fessenden, Michelle (Mick) Sharma, Christie (Adam) Browne, Heather (Kyle Busch) Porter, and Danielle (Kevin Kurowicki) Porter; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kovach retired as owner and operator of Kentucky Fried Chicken, Upper Sandusky. She was vice president of J.C. Kovach Enterprises, Inc. Mrs. Kovach was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Parish. She enjoyed gardening and baking. Her grandchildren remember her famous nut rolls and cookies.
Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Transfiguration of The Lord Catholic Church with Father Conrad Sutter O.F. M. Conv. officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9-10:30 a.m. at Bringman Clark Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home, 226 E. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
