Doris L. Collingwood

Doris L. Collingwood, 97, of McComb, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025.

Doris was born June 26, 1927, in McComb to the late Walter and Cleo (Barnd) Miller. She married Paul L. Collingwood on November 9, 1946 and he preceded her in death January 27, 1989. Doris is survived by her children, John Collingwood of McComb and Diana Newcomer of Findlay; grandchildren, Chris (Haley) Collingwood, Cami (Darryl) Beachy, Stacy (Dale) Schulte and Brian (Dodi) Newcomer; great-grandchildren, Megan (Zach) Warnecke, Lauren Schulte, Cole and Brady Newcomer; Madison (Zach Deleruyelle) Newcomer, Ridge and Lincoln Collingwood and Crosser and Dash Beachy.

She was also preceded in death by her son, David Allen Collingwood; son-in-law, Lynn Newcomer; great-granddaughter, Melissa Schulte; and sisters, Carol (Earl) Bryan and Ruth (Leslie) Shafer.

Doris was a 1945 graduate of McComb High School and worked at Ohio Oil/ Marathon Oil, retiring after 37 years of service. She was a faithful member of McComb Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Dorcas Circle. Doris was known for her cooked roasters of noodles for the Ice Cream Socials at church. She and Paul enjoyed traveling after their retirement and were known as the "Collingwood Capers"

Visitation for Doris will be from 11 a.m. until time of her Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at McComb Methodist Church, 204 High St., McComb, Ohio 45858, with Pastor Doug Kendrick officiating. Interment will follow at McComb Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Doris' honor can be made to the church.
