On September 8, 1957, Dorine married the love of her life, Merritt R. von Stein, and together they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage. Their partnership was built on faith, devotion, and the joy of family.
Dorine was known for her animated-kind spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering love for her family. She took great pride in her home and farm life, where she nurtured not only her garden, flowers, and crops, but also the people around her. Her kitchen was a busy place of warmth and welcome, always with pie and baked goods in the making. Her proficiency to engage in any conversation with questions, a sense of humor, and ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone she met. Dorine had a passion for sewing and embroidery, and she worked alongside her good friend Rachel Hartman to make infant blankets, which they gave to newborn babies in the community.
Dorine's life was one of quiet grace, deep love for family, and enduring faith. A legacy that will live on through all who knew her and her good works.
