Donald Speakman Obituary
Donald C. Speakman, 91, of Findlay, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2022.
He was born Sept. 19, 1931, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Cecil and Florence (Hubbard) Speakman. Don married Joyce T. Drugg and she preceded him in death. He then married Lois R. Bozman and she also preceded him in death.
He is survived by six children, Donna J. (Lawrence) Milburn, Thomas E. (Cindy) Speakman, Nancy L. (Warren) Apple, Charles D. (Debra) Speakman, Linda J. Hough, and Rebbecca G. Fonda; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Dorothy (Anthony) Witek, Douglas (June) Speakman, Robert (Doreen) Speakman, and Sharon (David) Hewson.
Don was also preceded in death by his brother, Roy Speakman.
Don served as a Major in Salvation Army for 37 years and was a servant of the Lord for 91. He enjoyed playing in Salvation Army Band and was a avid reader, walker, and enjoyed watching sports.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Don's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, at Salvation Army, 301 Center St., Findlay, Ohio, 45840. Additional visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery, east of Findlay.
