Donald Rozelle Obituary
Donald "Don" L. Rozelle, 101, of rural McComb, passed away Sunday morning, January 4, 2026, at home. He was born in Custar, September 25, 1924, to the late Rex and Florence (Ray) Rozelle.
He married Elizabeth (Betty) Smaltz, and she survives, along with their children, Vicki (Brad) Cheney of Findlay, David (Janet) Rozelle of Napoleon, and Gary (Lisa) Rozelle of Findlay; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is a brother, Frank Rozelle and sisters, Marcella Lease and Phyllis Strohl.
Don was preceded in death by grandchildren, Tyler Rozelle and Justin Rozelle and siblings, Clyde, Charles "Chuck", Alvin, Kenneth "Kenny", Norman, Almeda, Annabelle, Joan, Berniece, Betty, and Catherine.
Don attended McComb Local Schools and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked at DOW Chemical until his retirement. Don attended First Presbyterian Church in Findlay.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and thankfulness to Don's loving caregivers.
Visitation will be from 10:30-11 a.m. with funeral beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, followed by burial at Maple Grove Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by Hancock County Memorial Squad.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice.
