Donald Rickard Obituary
Donald C. Rickard, 89, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. He was born June 4, 1934, in West Columbia, West Virginia, to Adam & Ada (Morrison) Rickard. He married Naomi McClish December 30, 1954, in Woodville. She passed September 23, 2016.
Surviving are four sons, Steve (Shirley) Rickard of Oak Grove, Kentucky, Alan (Andrea) Rickard of Helena, Eric (Trish) Rickard of Risingsun, Phil (Jennifer) Rickard of Ashland, Virginia; 14 grandchildren, Stephen, Sabrina, Matt, Christina, Donny, David, Samantha, Joshua, Phillip, Zachary, Brandi, Kaileb, Paige & Wyatt, many great-grandchildren.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Bob, Paul, Ronald, Roland & Ralph Rickard; and a sister Mary Beers.
Donald retired in 2001 after 45 years as a machinist, tool & die & plant manager at Atlas Industries in Gibsonburg. He formerly attended the Fostoria Church of God. He was a 1952 graduate of Wahama High School in Mason, West Virginia. Donald liked to fish & camp.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Fostoria Church of God, Fostoria, with Pastor Daniel Lucien officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery near Risingsun.
Memorials may be made to Fostoria Church of God.
